Re: dots around negative space while printing

Hi Ryanflexo We are solvent based ink and sometimes have this problem. To "minimise" the effect, we use hard mounting tape. Then there is a balance. As you will start squashing the reverse. Graphics might be able to help you out by making reverse type bigger, a touch to compensate if neede...

Re: anilox cleaners

Thanks for all of the replies. We are looking into the Meridian and the Sitexco. The Meridian is a bit less expensive which fits our budget much better. Respect. Thanks for the update. I would like to add the difference with the laser cleaning is night and day.You soon realise what an inefficient s...

Re: Seeking Guidance on Eyemarks and Water-Based Flexo Inks

I have doubts that water-based ink is causing your problem. Can you describe the problem in a little more detail? Are you having color-to-color registration issues? Are you printing an eye-mark on top of another eye-mark for registration? Thanks for that, I'm confused as well, Lol Too much detail i...

Re: Black light/ strobe

in my limited experience, the trick to how good a black light works is more how dark an area it is in, very little ambient light can render them quite ineffective. We have bought and used ones from Home Depot in the past, we saw very little difference between them and very expensive ones in our app...

Re: anilox cleaners

Interesting everyone’s opinion on the sonics thanks, I’ve no experience with the lasers but suspect they work great I’ll maybe have to get in somewhere to see a trial along with results Get your worst anilox that's plugged sent out and lasered. See what comes back. If it's not scratched, it will lo...

Re: anilox cleaners

Hey Richprints I managed to remember and am at work now. The Brand is Sitexco and the model is SL2.5 Our model has a maximum cleaning diameter of 2500mm.Our aniloxes are 1100-1200 long.So we can do two at a time, side by side. And even use different settings for both. Your length anilox works out to...

Re: anilox cleaners

Bandit, I have used ultrasonic in the past and didn't like them. Found them to be too much of a hassle. Gorilla, I look forward to your reply with manufacturer and model info. Me too, Richprints! I've been at work twice and forgotten. Absolutely useless! No worries ,I have another shift tonight, Lo...

Re: anilox cleaners

Laser Cleaner hands down! The difference is night and day! Pristine aniloxes every job. Every anilox that gets pulled from the press gets put through the cleaner. It will get one pass or two, depending . I'm on my weekend atm but will give you manufacturer, model etc, in another reply shortly..........

Re: High speed splicing tape

Do you still have a contact from there? Are they still open?
Or maybe create a new post with a heading targeting to your main question.
Surely someone else has used this glue.
Or you could improvise and use double-sided tape length wise.

Re: Comexi Press.Draw mode percentage?

For us, it's a percentage that the independently driven roll will run as opposed to the press speed. A draw of 1% means that if the press is running at 500 fpm the independent drive will run at 505 fpm. Something I learned today. Thanks for the info Brian. We only have settings from -2 to +2 Gorilla

What's the name of this glue? Surely there's a record or receipt of it in your company's books?
