just asking does any body have a good way of cutting doctor blades off a roll
we are using a snips and find the lads are not cutting them straight also the are wasting about 10 % off the roll
any toughts

WE HAD THIS ISSUE ON SILKSCREEN WHAT WE FOUND THE INK WASNT FULLY CURED.WE WHERE USING DENSE BLACK SOLID WITH A HEAVY LAYDOWN .
ALSO MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT GETTING MIGRATION FROM THE PHOTOINITATOR.TRY TO HIT THE PAPER WITH THE TREATER MIGHT OPEN THE POURS.

We have just trailed swedev blades we are using a chamberd system.
Very good blade and great support from the guy selling them good price too :smile: .

hi and ive been doing rotary screen going on 18 years now ur mech on the screen could affect your colour we use screeny lets say km is 8 micron ks is 10 micron it will affect ur colour i dont have the tech imfo for stork also your squgee dlade can affect it yellow lets out more than red less in my e...

cold foil is much easer depnds on the the material allways works better
with a primer tends to stop ink absorbsion in to material ie cold foil
adesive we have done it a lot client never complains altough its always
close to hot foil you have yo use the right techers

green means go red means stop and orange means go faster thats what we do at traffic lights

Hi Frank Same substrate they are making a colour out of process yellow magenta cyan black i.e pantone 185 you can get the colours in pre mixed . How do u find out about the pigment just ask the suppliers . I think its DECMC ill check that out. its extremly very tight on flexo colours lets say it sca...

using xrite to scan digital colours

hello guys
just wondering how accurate is the xrite on digital press
we scan are colours on flexo 98% scan .04 1.5 and the colours
look good but on the digiyal press it scanning at 4 but the colour
looks good

hello cowboy we had the same thing with a label we changed from s/s to flexo we bought a how annlox vol 24 another vol 32 it had a solid print with fine lines we used hi dense white laid the plate on the hardest tape when we ran 20-30 m/min it wasnt great but when u ran 60 to 90 m/min it was very go...
