OK tomcat, I think I fixed it. The reason the link didn;t work is because I had a period at the end of the web address. The period was then included in the url before the forward-slash, and it didn't like it. You'll see the sentence now ends without a period. Thanks for keeping us straight! Frank

I just clicked on the link I made immediately above this message, and it worked!

I'll still look into what's going on with the first link, though.

Broken Link

Hi tomcat,

I jut checked and I agree that the link is broken. I'll look into it, but in the meantime, just type http://www.uglyflexo.com in your browser and that should take you there.

Hi newprod, I've never heard of a tape test being done on paper. However, I would imagine that if the substrate had a coating on it that made it similar to non-porous films in terms of being able to withstand the test withought the paper itself tearing, you could perform a tape test similar to tape ...

That's a great reply, Kevin. Thanks.

I appreciate learning more about the prepress and calibration side of things. It's my weaker area.

One possibility

The last time a company I worked for bought optical brightener, it was from Ciba-Geigy. I did a quick Google search, and they have different divisions, and so on. You may contact someone at one of the divisions.

That looks like a molecule described as one carbon, two hydrogens, one carbon, one hydrogen, one oxygen, one carbon, one oxygen, one carbon, and three hydrogens. Unless you're a chemist, or knowledgable in these things, it probably means very little in terms of describing or predicting how it might ...

Ugly Flexo

Hi Fellow Flexographers, We’d like to share with you a new forum we’re developing for flexo folks. It’s called Ugly Flexo. You can go to it through http://www.uglyflexo.com It derives its name from the notion that the video is raw and ugly. However, hopefully the concepts are not! We will be rolling...

What about wear?

Hey guys, Plate-cell patterning sounds interesting, and I'd love to see data on it. An associate once show me a graph of density measurements of a tonal bar that ran from lowest dot value to solid. The data showed a peak just before 100%. I think it was around 98% for the particular set of measureme...

Hi Json, It's no bother. It's just that I want to talk to an associate that is more expert in this subject than I am. He is travelling, but has replied that he will call today. It has to do with a possible teqnique for remotely communicating or sharing color data. I'll then discuss that, and the mor...

Another idea

Hi again, Jason,

I have another idea, but I want to discuss it with an associate of mine to get his thoughts on it. I'll write again, hopefully with some suggestions.

Welcome back, Luc St-Pierre!

I'm glad you like the new interface. I wasn't too sure, at first, because it has all these smily things, but I'm getting excited about the other functions. The more I visit and explore, the cooler I think this is going to be.

Best Regards,
Frank
