Re: High speed splicing tape

Do you still have a contact from there? Are they still open? Or maybe create a new post with a heading targeting to your main question. Surely someone else has used this glue. Or you could improvise and use double-sided tape length wise. Yes we do that I found it from Mobile mor ad 119 800 bucks for...

Re: High speed splicing tape

Hi longtimefan, For high-speed splicing tape, you might want to check out 3M and Tesa for reliable options. As for the red liquid glue you mentioned, I'm not sure about its current availability. Have you considered reaching out to local suppliers or checking online industrial adhesive stores? We do...

Re: Putting together a mounter room/department

I’ll have to look into TESA tapes. The cost is basically the same as 3M so I felt like if I’m paying that much, mind as well get 3M. As far as mounter, it’s an automatic mounter that came with the new Allstein CI press. It was a combo deal. I’ve only used manual, self align mounters prior to this o...

High speed splicing tape

In the past I've used the splittable tape from 3m and tesa

There used to be a red liquid glue that you could paint on your web.

Anyone know where to get that?

Wide web plates

Carboard sheet with score in middle. Can be bought this way

Fold Carboard in half and tape edges as you see.

Use the foam as beginning and ending of a "book" and all your plates are the pages. Use the foam to make more pages

Re: portable laminator

You can take a sample put water on it and then use the laminate material over it and run a speed roll ( tool for mounting) or smooth out with something similar

Re: Ghosting

from experience I've tried everything to prevent this problem especially with metallic blends. interestingly we found a type of plastic blade from flexo concepts with a type of silicone coating that completely eliminated this defect. I'm talking ghosting with fresh ink after 500' with anything else...
