Fuji Flenex water wash analog plates

Postby ArtSteve » Mon Nov 02, 2015 2:12 pm

Hi. Anyone have any experience with these plates, good or bad? We are thinking of switching to them. Be glad to get rid of solvent, still, smell, etc. We did a press test, and they look like they can hold a smaller dot than we were able to before.

We currently use Flenex and we like them. Having all the solvent smells out of the room is wonderful and cheaper because no more paying to have the drums hauled off. The water wash machine comes with its own set of issues, there is WAY more daily and weekly maintantence to do because the machine washes out the polymer and it just floats in the tub of water and you have to shut it down once a week for about 4-6 hours to do a water change and do a good cleaning. It takes a while to get all the gunk off everything, but even with that con getting our plates to press in under an hour makes up for the down time.
