Narrow Web Flexo and OSHA

Postby Shawn » Wed Nov 05, 2014 9:15 pm

Does anyone have any experience or examples of "real world" solutions to the OSHA issues concerning nip points and guards. I know safety is important but the requirements from OSHA seem unreasonable. guards over lower idlers, plates and "All" nip points make quality printing nearly impossible and as far as multi web constructions... give me a break. I am looking to compile some proven paperwork and images of what is acceptable that we we can defend ourselves in the event of a future audit. We passed an audit last year but being on the radar, I feel the wrong auditor could lead us to a very expensive and unreasonable situation.

Any pictures or documents would be greatly appreciated.
