Viscosity Cups Solvent Inks

Postby Acmegv » Fri Jun 02, 2017 11:00 pm

There are so many different viscosity cups in the market and we currently use many different versions. I am looking for a good conversion table that compares the following cups:

Zahn Signature #2
Zahn EZ #2
Shell #2
Shell #3
Shell #4
Ford Mini #2

I personally think that you are adding serious confusion by using so many different cups . . .?

I completely agree this is confusion that is unnecessary. I am looking for a conversion chart with all the variables to pair it down to a single standard.

Consider cost, ease of use, that everyone uses them, etc., in the US I would use #3 EZ-Series for water-based and probably UV and #2 EZ for solvent.
